Plan a visit to the yarn store with a stop at one of our local cafe/restaurants.
Acadia - corner of cedar & riverside.  Great reviews/sandwiches (fries too), also beer.
Mapps Coffee Shop on Riverside across from the bank.  Coffee, sandwiches,
time and space to meet and knit, and live music friday evenings.  Customer and staff reviews have been great!
Chai's Thai across Cedar from the shop in the old Korea House spot.  Have had
very good reviews [our customers and staff].
K-Wok, in the parking lot behind the shop IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED (JULY '10).  
We're anxiously awaiting the new owners.
Wienery, right across Cedar from the shop.  Best burgers and fries in the neighborhood, breakfast all day, vienna dogs.  Good fresh coffee.   A VERY greasy spoon, but food is great. 
Counter seating, 3 tables.  Loud radio.  Did you catch them on the FOOD CHANNEL 3/09??

Lucky Dragon has Vietnamese/Chinese menu with good [our staff] reviews, on Riverside
across from the former Triangle Bar, next to the Viking Bar. 
Hard Times Cafe has "Depth Charge" fair trade pressed coffees, plus teas and food. 
Mediterranean Deli
on Cedar/6th has re-opened, great gyros.
St Martin's Table @20th Ave & Riverside open for lunch, good customer reviews.
Keefer Court Restaurant and Bakery, Cedar/Riverside corner.  Full menu now and bakery treats.

- Somali menu next door to us, 411 Cedar, haven't tried it, smells pretty good. 
Red Sea Restaurant - across from Midwest Mountaineering.
Jimmy John's @ Riverside and 22nd Ave, across from UofM art department.  Dine in, take-out, 30 minute free parking on 22nd.
Preston's, Bullwinkle's, Noodles, Chipotle, Town Hall Brewery, The Corner Bar and Heavenly Daze Coffee are all 3 blocks north, at 7 corners.
